Business Mixer: La Mirada Lamplighter

La Mirada Chamber of Commerce held its first business mixer on Wednesday, November 7th at the Hews Media Group’s main office in La Mirada. The open house included a brief history and introduction by La Mirada Lamplighter and local business and civic leaders took the opportunity to mingle with one another.

La Mirada’s Mayor Pro Tem John Lewis and Council Ed Eng were in attendance as well as Cerritos College Board Member Zurick Lewis, Starbuck’s manager Sara Chavez, Grocery Outlet owner Amanda Hernandez, Chamber V.P Anna Li Castro from Edward Jones, and Tammye McDuff from the La Mirada Lamplight. Food was provided by Chris Schivley of Chick-fil-A and coffee by Starbucks.

“This event was the Chamber’s first business mixer in many years and we are hoping to have out next mixer next year after the holidays. I have to express my thanks to all that donated food and their time for this exciting event. We appreciate your patience after having to delay the event due to the freeway bridge closure last month,” commented Chamber Board member Noel Jaimes.
