Strategic Plan 2020

At the June 28, 2016 regular City Council meeting, the La Mirada City Council adopted Resolution No. 16-19 approving the La Mirada Strategic Plan 2020.

The Strategic Plan is a management tool for identifying future goals and objectives and setting the course necessary to achieve these objectives.  The Plan also assists the City in adapting to changes occurring within and outside the organization, and in directing the City’s efforts and resources to focus on its highest priorities.

The Plan identifies 18 separate goals in support of five core strategies. Additionally, 68 specific actions with key performance indicators have been set to assist in achieving these goals by the end of 2020.

The City of La Mirada is making great progress towards achieving the commitments outlined in its Strategic Plan 2020. Many advancements have been made and City officials remain committed to directing City resources and efforts to preserve La Mirada as a safe and attractive community offering a high quality of life.  Advancements made over the last year include upgraded infrastructure, dedicated public safety efforts, and responsible budgeting, among others.
